My Time at TAFE
mixed media
After years of working on my mental health, and building up the courage to get out there and continue my artist journey I started as a teen, I finally was able to go to Northbridge TAFE to get my Certificate III in Visual Arts. I completed the Cert III which was a huge achievement for me, and I wanted to continue onto getting my Diploma, but the Certificate IV didnt start for another 6 months. TAFE offered us a fast tracked Certificate IV in Product Design while we waited for that to begin. After completing the Product Design certificate, I went back to Visual Arts to work on my Certificate IV. But during that time, Covid hit. We went to online learning and completing work through correspondence for the duration of the lock down. We eventually were able to go back to finish our work but Covid had already hit my mental health bad which affected my ability to finish off those last few parts of my Certificate IV, let alone move onto the Diploma. So I had to go back to focusing on building back up the confidence and courage I had, so that I can eventually go back and finish my Cert IV and get my Diploma. During this time I havent stopped working on my art and learning more skills so that I can one day sell the creations I make.
Below is a gallery of the work I did during my time at TAFE.
